'Piertoberfest' @ St. Pete Pier

St. Pete is making it happen with the return of Piertoberfest this Sunday, October 1. An all-day bash featuring German beer, food and games, the Oktoberfest party takes place from 12-7 pm at Spa Beach Park on the St. Pete Pier. While authentic German beer from Bavaria’s most renowned breweries gets a big portion of the spotlight, this festival is much more than just steins full of ale and lager. There will be tons of local food vendors supplying all the traditional dishes like bratwurst, currywurst, spatzen, sauerbraten, potato salad, giant pretzels and apple strudel funnel cakes.

In addition to all the eating and drinking, 'Piertoberfest' will feature classic Bavarian music, polka, and other Oktoberfest favorites. And for those ready to show what they’re made of, attendees can participate in Oktoberfest competitions like stein hoisting, tug of war, keg tossing and more. There will even be a best-dressed competition, so don’t hesitate to break out the lederhosen and dirndls.

General admission is free, which includes access to the event and main grounds, including music and games. There will be a wide range of German food and beer (along with non-German food trucks) available for purchase throughout the festival. VIP Experience tickets are $60 for early bird buyers ($85 at the door), which include a collectible Stein, a VIP area with shade and lounge seating, two drink tickets (1 pint each), and light snacks served within the VIP Experience area. VIP is limited to 21+ only. General Admission is open to all ages, while the VIP Experience is 21+ only.
